Consortium of Educational Technology
Creating a culture of confident and effective technology use that leads to continual school improvement

Consortium Chair's Welcome
Thank you for visiting CoET.
With ICT underpinning almost all aspects of running a school, it's important that schools have access to expertise, PD, networking and the actionable data to inform future direction and improvements.
Our consortium offers members an opportunity to learn and share exemplary pedagogical and technical practice relating to ICT in education. What make CoET unique is that we include both technical and educational leaders in the pursuit of continual school improvement. CoET believes that it is only by fostering a partnership between IT specialists and teachers that schools can truly leverage the potential of technology.
As the peak body in the field of Educational Technology in Australia Membership is open to employees working within education institutions with a desire to learn and share exemplary pedagogical and technical practice relating to ICT. Members are automatically entitled to free participation at our quarterly face to face conferences (currently only available in Victoria). Your participation at CoET meetings is an opportunity to develop and share technology implementations that work for both individual schools and the relevant school authorities that support them. CoET will help your school to embed a culture of confident and effective technology use that leads to continual school improvement.
Operating under the Department of Education Victoria's Community of Practice Approach CoET supports system leaders to share knowledge, experience and resources to improve leadership practice and student outcomes. CoET works closely with industry partners and is well placed to consult and collaborate on matters where there is an intersection between technology and teaching and learning.
CoET provides a unique accreditation for schools with a focus on student learning, delivering world class technology and innovation. CoET Accreditation is recognised by education institutions and systems around the country as a demonstration of a school’s commitment to supporting high quality educational technology. CoET accredited schools have demonstrated that they have achieved rigorous evaluation against agreed standards. They have an evidence based plan for school improvement and systems in place to monitor their performance. They are recognised as a system leader in the use of educational technology and demonstrated that they constantly pursue improvement.
We look forward to connecting with your school.
CoET Invites you to participate and learn from our Consortium. We look forward to connecting with your school.
Sincerely,
Cameron Nicholls
